Hello and welcome to our blog! Your writers are Kaida Heart and Belita Heart. Pen names, of course, for our safety and privacy. Yes, we are related. We are a mother and daughter team. Belita, being the mother and Kaida, being the daughter. You may know us from one of our shops: Precious Heart Boutique, Precious Heart Pacifiers, and Arizona Artisan Gifts.
Alt Expressions is our way of supporting the communities that have supported us over the years. We aim to connect those interested in alt fashion and art with small shops and artists. To do that we will be showcasing shops, featuring artists, and sharing reviews of our purchases. We will also be creating tutorials and helpful tips.
Alt is short for alternative. It is usually used in the context of alt fashion. We are, however, featuring the creators and artists behind the clothing and accessories. We will be covering art and decorative items that fall under those aesthetics as well as the clothing. For this reason we chose the name Alt Expressions. Rather than just fashion, we are inclusive of all forms of expression.
Alt Expressions is inclusive of all alternative aesthetics such as lolita fashion, pastel goth, decora, harajuku, goth, steampunk, scene, cottagecore, menhera, kidcore, and much more. If there is ever a specific aesthetic you would like to see featured, feel free to let us know.
